The results of Indian Overseas Bank clerk recruitment were released yesterday. This was meant to fill 1100 clerk posts in its branches across India, with Tamilnadu state topping with 110 vacancies.While the application process began in the month of March, the exams were held in May 2011.
As part of selection process for IOB recruitment, the written test was conducted on may 29, 2011 at various centres.Here are some valuation details as given in the notice..
- The test had 5 papers, 250 objective questions totaling 250 marks
- For every wrong answer, 0.25 awarded as negative mark
- Only those securing minimum cut-off marks in the test are ranked & a merit list is prepared.
IOB also says that the Interview call letters having info on date, time, venue etc.,would be sent by registered post.
Interview carries 50 marks & the qualifying marks are 22.5 (general) & 20 (SC/ST).The final appointment of clerks would be based on the marks secured in Test & Interview.
